Support centre
Support centre colleagues work together to make a difference across Co-op. With teams in property, finance, transformation, food commercial, HR, supply chain, and marketing, there are plenty of exciting opportunities to learn new skills and build your career.
Based at our head office in Manchester, we’re always looking for great talent to join our teams.

Property
We manage over 6,000 buildings nationwide, and our Property team is responsible for buying, selling, and looking after them. From our food stores to funeral homes, they make sure our properties are safe, well-maintained, and energy efficient.
We regularly recruit for roles in acquisitions and disposals, estate and portfolio management, construction and projects, as well as strategy and insights. And when you join us you’ll get access to formal training, qualifications, and on-the-job mentoring from experienced colleagues to help you develop and shape your career.
Finance
Our Finance team plays a key part in all major business activity at Co-op. From planning projects and recruitment, annual reporting and results, or business change and information management, there’s plenty to get stuck into.
We’re always looking for talented finance professionals to join us. From Finance Business Partners and Analysts to Management Accountants and Procurement Specialists, there’s a lot of great opportunities to build a rewarding career in Finance at Co-op.


Marketing and communications
Our Marketing and Communications teams create and deliver the brand planning and campaign activities that help to grow our brand and business. Want to get involved? We offer a variety of roles across Brand and Customer Strategy/Propositions, Communications and Media Planning, Campaigns and Content, and Public Relations.

Food commercial
We’re known for our fantastic food. We’re also known for our support of British farmers, local food producers, and our commitment to Fairtrade and ethical trading. Our food commercial team make sure we offer the high-quality, ethical products that our customers and member-owners deserve.
We regularly recruit across a range of jobs. Whether that’s buying managers and commercial analysts or product developers, food technicians, and ethical trading experts – there’s plenty to get involved with. No matter which area of the team you join, you’ll help us source and create food with respect for people and the planet.


Community
We want to build more value every day. And our Community team play a big part in making this vision a reality. They’re responsible for developing and delivering the strategies that help us connect with local communities across the UK.
We regularly recruit member activators in locations nationwide. These colleagues work to bring together our member-owners, colleagues, and other like-minded organisations, and share opportunities for them to support local causes. We also look for a range of specialists who work with teams across Co-op to bring other parts of our community plan to life.
People and shared services
Our People and shared services functions are made up of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality services and partnership across Co-op. From tactical and strategic HR support and partnering, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Supplier Management to Business Optimisation and Sales and Service, our teams work hard to support our colleagues and member-owners.
We recruit for a huge variety of roles in these teams, including People Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners, Service Advisors, and Finance Administrators. No matter which you choose, we provide you with all the support you need to shape your Co-op career.


Transformation
Our Transformation team manages change across our Co-op, helping us deliver more value for our customers, colleagues, and member-owners. They make sure that any changes are feasible, successfully delivered, and within budget.
We’re always looking for talented people to join the team. If you’re a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Programme Manager, or PMO specialist, we might have the perfect opportunity for you. When you join, we’ll train you in our change management process and give you the chance to work on exciting projects to develop your skills and build a rewarding career at Co-op.
Supply Chain and Retail Support
We know how important it is for our customers and member-owners to find the products they love in our stores. Our Supply Chain and Retail Support team makes that happen. They play a big part in ensuring on-shelf availability and making it easier for our store colleagues to provide a great customer experience.
We’re always looking for talented people to join our team. From Availability Analysts, Administrators, Category Replenishment Managers, or specialists focussed on supporting our store teams, there’s so many exciting opportunities to get involved.
