We're always on the lookout for great people to join our Co-op. And now you can be rewarded for recommending a friend to join Co-op Legal Services.

If you successfully refer someone to Co-op Legal Services, you'll receive £500 in cash.
This reward will be paid once the candidate you referred has successfully applied and passed their probation period.

All you need to do is complete this form. Then we'll contact the person you've referred and provide them with a link to apply. 

Who can make a referral?

The programme is open to all colleagues across Co-op.

What roles are included in the referral scheme?

Initially, the roles below will be eligible for the referral scheme:

  • Probate Solicitor (across all levels)
  • Family Law Solicitor (across all levels)
  • Estate Planning Solicitor (across all levels)
  • Wills Case Supervision Managers
  • Will Writers
  • Probate Case Managers
  • Estate Planning Consultants (employed)

If you know someone you think would be a good fit for Co-op and can’t see any suitable jobs for them at the moment, please submit a referral and we’ll let them know when the right role becomes available.

How can I make a referral? 

Once you’ve identified a friend you’d like to recommend, all you need to do is complete this formWe’ll then contact them and provide a URL so they can complete an online application.

Only referrals made following this process will be eligible for the scheme. Candidates must not have already submitted an application for the role prior to the referral.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

 

  • At the time of making the payment both employees must still be employed by the Co-op and not under notice (excluding maternity, redundancy and ill health). 
  • Payments will only be applicable for candidates that the employee personally knows. 
  • Retrospective referrals will not be accepted and payment will not be made where the referral has not been made via our referral form. 
  • No payment will be made if the referred candidate has already been introduced through another source (e.g. recruitment agency, direct application or referred by another colleague). 
  • There is no limit to the number of people that a colleague can refer. 
  • If two or more colleagues refer the same candidate, only the first referrer will receive the referral rewards. 
  • Referrers are still eligible for rewards if a candidate is hired for a different digital technology role to the one they were originally referred for. 
  • The second payment will not be made if the candidate gives notice during their first 3 months of employment. 
  • Candidates must not be sourced through a third party. 
  • Colleagues must not formally advertise vacancies on behalf of the business, either directly or via a third party. 
  • The scheme is entirely discretionary, non-contractual and does not form part of the terms and conditions of employment. 
  • The business reserves the right to withdraw, vary or amend the scheme at any time. 
  • The programme will be monitored and audited and any breach of the terms and conditions will be subject to potential disciplinary/formal action. 
  • Payments will not be made to the hiring manager of a vacancy. 
  • Employees who are responsible for recruitment or manage a team(such as HR, colleagues in the Resourcing function, hiring managers within CLS are not eligible to participate in or benefit from this scheme. 
  • If the referred colleague has their probationary period extended or is subject to any formal disciplinary proceedings the payment will not be made until the outcome is determined  
  • Names of those referred will not be shared with other colleagues within CLS until an offer has been made 
  • Referral forms need to be completed within a week of an application for a retrospective referral to be eligible 
  • Ex-colleagues are excluded from being referred for a period of 12 months after their leave date 
  • Candidates cannot be referred for a position they've applied for in the past six months
