You’ll work closely with our sales, proposition, finance and in-house legal teams to make sure the contracts signed reflect our commercial agreements and support our goals.

Why this role matters

We’re building something big at Co-op Wholesale. With a refreshed structure and exciting plans ahead, we’re creating new opportunities to strengthen our proposition for our independent retailers, key accounts, and a growing corporate client base. To do so, we’re going to be negotiating multi-million pound contracts to really push ourselves forward and take our business to the next level. That’s where you come in.

This is your chance to bring new ideas to life and make a real impact. Be part of it.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the end-to-end contract management process, working closely with our Head of Business Management, Governance & Risk
  • Draft and negotiate contracts that reflect our commercial agreements and meet legal and governance standards
  • Build strong relationships with our customers to move contract discussions forward
  • Collaborate with our sales, propositions, finance, legal, and operations colleagues to make sure contracts support our wider goals
  • Spot and manage contract risks, and lead on resolving disputes or compliance issues
  • Help to improve our contract management process - shaping templates, terms, and ways of working

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience as a Senior Contract Manager in a business sales environment
  • Experience with contract law and lifecycle management
  • The ability to draft and negotiate B2B contracts
  • Good communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge in a positive way
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret contract data and spot risks
