Location, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office
We’re looking for a Data Monetisation Strategy Manager to join us and lead the way in unlocking the commercial value of Co op Group data. You’ll shape how we grow revenue streams from our data products, building strong partnerships across the business and with external suppliers. This is a new and exciting area for Co op following changes to our Commercial division, and there’s huge opportunity to make a real impact.
Why this role matters
Our data is one of our most powerful assets. It helps suppliers understand our customers, build better products, and grow their businesses, which in turn helps us grow ours.
In this role, you’ll bring together all our monetisable data products into one clear, future focused strategy. You’ll make it easier for suppliers to see the value in partnering with Co op and make sure we’re getting the most from every part of our data ecosystem.
By driving revenue, improving propositions and championing inclusive investment models, you’ll be helping us build a healthier, more sustainable commercial future, one that supports our customers, members, suppliers and communities.
What you’ll do
• Define and deliver a data monetisation strategy that brings together all of Co op’s existing monetisable data products, creating a clear vision and roadmap for our total data ecosystem
• Create engaging, accessible and supplier focused materials that showcase the value of our data products and help bring new and existing subscribers onboard
• Spot and pursue opportunities to grow revenue across our entire data offer
• Work closely with our agency partners to continuously improve our data products, shaping propositions based on supplier needs and feedback
• Build strong relationships across the Food business, working with subject matter experts to align plans and strengthen each data product
• Take ownership of data revenue targets
• Develop inclusive investment models that make Co op data accessible to a diverse supplier base
What you’ll bring
• Strong commercial thinking, with the ability to understand performance, identify opportunities and drive financial delivery
• An understanding of the retail market, or a background in data monetisation
• Confidence in building relationships at all levels, internally and externally
• Great communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and accessible concepts
• The ability to influence outcomes through listening, understanding and building propositions that work for suppliers and the business
• Data literacy: you understand how different data sources come together to create value
