Data Monetisation Specialist
£40,000 - £48,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A) 
Location, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office

We’re looking for a Data Monetisation Specialist to join us and help unlock the value of Co op Group data and support our growing data monetisation strategy. You’ll work closely with our suppliers, agency partners and colleagues across the Commercial team to spot opportunities, build confidence in our data products and help us deliver against our revenue targets. This is a new and exciting area for Co op following changes to our Commercial division, and there’s huge opportunity to make a real impact.

In this role, you’ll help deliver our data revenue targets by engaging directly with suppliers, spotting opportunities for investment and making sure they get the full value from our data products. You’ll collaborate with colleagues and agency partners to strengthen our proposition, gather insight from suppliers and continuously improve how we support them.


What you’ll do

• Actively identify opportunities within our supplier base to drive incremental investment into Co op data products
• Co create and own clear, engaging supplier facing materials that bring our monetisable data products to life
• Support the conversion of revenue opportunities by engaging suppliers and demonstrating the collaborative benefits of investing in Co op data
• Work with newly onboarded suppliers to help them get the most from our data products
• Collaborate with our agency partners to identify risks to revenue and develop sustainable solutions to mitigate them
• Partner with data agencies and internal teams to develop training materials that support suppliers in fully using our data
• Gather feedback from suppliers to continuously enhance our data offerings
• Champion our data platforms within the Co op Commercial team, sharing best practice and upskilling colleagues
• Act as an expert on data use across Co op functions, helping colleagues understand how to maximise its value
• Maintain reporting to track progress towards our data revenue targets and share updates on a regular basis

What you’ll bring

• Financial acumen, with the ability to understand performance and identify actions that drive delivery
• Great communication skills, with the confidence to influence others and simplify complex concepts
• Strong relationship building skills with internal and external partners
• Good data literacy and an understanding of how to use data to create value
• An innovative mindset, and a self motivated approach, with the initiative to generate opportunities and see them through
