Head of Estate Planning Sales
Circa £100,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 4)
Hybrid working with monthly visits to our Sheffield and Bristol offices required plus regular travel

We’re looking for a Head of Estate Planning Sales to join us at Co-op Legal Services.

As we continue to grow, this role will play a key part in helping us reach more people, improve our services, and make a difference in the communities we serve.

In this role, you’ll lead a large, national team to help us deliver great outcomes for our customers at scale. You’ll report to our Director of Life Services - Pre Need, taking ownership of our end-to-end estate planning client sales journey, from attraction to onboarding, helping us to deliver our four-year growth strategy and expand our reach. You’ll also focus on growing our B2B partnerships as well as being responsible for omnichannel commercial performance, making sure every step of the customer journey feels seamless. We’ll look to you to make sure our services are compliant, customer-focussed, and commercially successful. It’s a big job, but one in which you’ll be pivotal in helping us shape the future of later life planning.  

What you’ll do:

•    Lead and inspire a large, regionally dispersed sales team of 7 direct reports and 100 indirect reports
•    Inclusively manage and develop colleagues to achieve their full potential 
•    Drive growth through new and existing B2B partnerships
•    Act as a role model for both the function and the wider business demonstrating consistency and strong leadership behaviours
•    Support the Director of Life Services – Pre Need with the delivery of the sales enablement model, making sure the teams have the right resource and skills to deliver a great customer experience
•    Make sure that policies, procedures, processes and controls are in place that comply with regulatory standards and effectively manage risk
•    Champion innovation across digital and contact centre journeys, using technology and automation to scale our services

This role would suit people who have:

•    Proven experience leading large regional or national sales teams working remotely in either in legal services, financial services or another regulated industry 
•    A strong background in customer-facing sales management
•    A strategic mindset with the ability to operate at scale and drive growth
•    Experience working in FCA or SRA regulated environments 
•    A passion for making a difference in people’s lives through creating accessible legal services

You’ll join our wills & trusts department which is set up differently to traditional private practice law firms. Being a specialist team means we often deal with cases of varying complexity, and can provide our clients with an expert service. At Co-op Legal Services our will writing advisors discuss our customers' wishes, offer guidance and help to make a will that’s right for their circumstances.

Family law solicitors offer a wide range of family law legal services to our customers. Our areas of practice range from family law and divorce to legal separation and child custody.

Every year, our personal injury solicitors and litigation lawyers secure millions of pounds in compensation through personal injury claims for people injured in accidents through no fault of their own.

Our medical negligence solicitors specialise in recovering compensation for patients who have suffered medical negligence and medical accidents caused by healthcare professionals.
