We’re looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join our growing Data and Systems team at Co-op. This is an exciting opportunity to help us get the most out of the Salesforce platform. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that supports colleagues across the business by providing innovative and efficient solutions. We offer full training and support to help you develop your skills and grow in the role.
As a Salesforce Administrator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and managing Salesforce across various business areas. You’ll work closely with different teams to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions using the platform. You’ll also have the chance to demonstrate features to colleagues and contribute to the design and implementation of more complex Salesforce projects.
Why This Role Matters
This role is a key part of our mission to become a stronger, more connected organisation. By enabling teams to use Salesforce effectively, you’ll help drive smarter ways of working, improve collaboration, and unlock new efficiencies. Your work will directly impact how we operate and support our colleagues, making a real difference to the way we do business.
What you’ll do
- Support colleagues across the business with their Salesforce queries and respond to any small change requests e.g. Salesforce configuration
- Understand user requirements and provide more complex Salesforce solutions that meet their needs
- Engage with different teams to demonstrate the benefits of Salesforce and showcasing how it can be used to improve current processes
- Plan and deliver Salesforce projects, gathering requirements, translating them into functional tasks, as well as user testing and quality assurance
- Build strong relationships and work closely with our partners at Salesforce
- Act as a champion for the Co-op Salesforce development programme and always have a focus on continuous improvement
- Make sure governance is in place around user access and data control, escalating any specific system risks to the appropriate teams
- Share your Salesforce knowledge with other colleagues in the team
This role would suit people who have
- Experience using Salesforce either as an admin or developer, with a good working knowledge of Service Cloud and Sales Cloud
- The ability to customise and build objects, fields, email templates, page layouts, dynamic forms, and flows to meet the specific needs of the teams we support
- An understanding of HTML and Visual Force code
- Excellent communication skills, with a talent for building relationships with colleagues and leaders up to senior level
- Great Microsoft Excel skills and happy working with data

- Competitive salary
- Coaching, training and support to help you develop
- Pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Annual incentive scheme
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 32 in line with service)
- Discounts on Co-op products and services
- Stream – a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your salary as you earn it
