Co-op Wholesale is growing, and we’re looking for people who want to shape what comes next. As a Propositions Manager, you’ll bring our trade, range, pricing, and promotional plans to life for our partners. We’ll look to you to lead the implementation of customer and commercial propositions, making sure they land successfully.

This is a varied and ‘hands-on’ type of role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting involved in everything from store ‘look’ and ‘feel’ to marketing, trade, and pricing. If you’ve got a background in trading, sales, strategy, category management, or business development, and you know how to deliver propositions successfully, we’d love to hear from you.

Why this role matters

We’re building something big at Co-op Wholesale. With a refreshed structure and exciting plans ahead, we’re creating new opportunities to strengthen our proposition for our independent retailers, key accounts, and a growing corporate client base. This role is key to how we go out to market. You’ll combine insights, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills to create and deliver market-leading propositions that help take our partners to the next level.

What you’ll do

  • Build propositions based on deep customer and channel insights
  • Shape pricing and ranging plans that meet the needs of our Wholesale partners
  • Collaborate with teams across trading, supply chain, marketing, finance, and digital technology to build and implement our propositions
  • Use data and market insights to optimise pack formats and deliver promotional innovations that boost partner experience and store performance
  • Lead the development and delivery of customer trade plans, making sure promotional activity supports our strategy

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

  • Experience developing and implementing propositions for retail partners
  • A track record of shaping long-term, data-driven, customer-first strategies
  • A good understanding of trading, supply chain, and marketing, and how these influence propositions
  • Good communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

Why Co-op

We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:

  • Private healthcare
  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
  • Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
  • Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
  • 24/7 colleague support service
  • Training and support for your development and career progression
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
