We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our CFPL Regulated Product Team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of our funeral plan business, driving growth, improving client experience, and making sure we meet our FCA regulatory commitments.
Why this role matters
At Co-op, we’re here to make things fairer, easier, and better for our members and communities. Funeralcare is a big part of that, helping people plan ahead with confidence and dignity. As a Product Manager, you’ll play a vital role in delivering products that truly matter to people’s lives. • Be the key link between CFPL and other teams like Technology, Marketing, Operations, and Central Services, making sure processes and products work seamlessly and our clients’ needs are always front and centre
• Monitor performance and client metrics like sales conversion, product mix, complaints, cancellations, and vulnerable client support, spotting trends and opportunities to improve client experience and drive growth
• Drive commercial performance across our funeral plan products, influencing leads across key channels
• Lead strategic projects, from new products and propositions to technology and partnerships
• Take operational ownership of funeral plan partnerships, building engagement and improving sales and redemption rates
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver key initiatives, making sure we meet regulatory requirements every step of the way
• Brief and advise senior leaders to influence decisions and keep our strategy on track
What you’ll bring
• Experience in product and / or channel growth and development
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to build great relationships and influence colleagues at all levels
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to juggle competing priorities
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, bringing energy and a growth mindset to the team
• Experience working in a regulated environment

We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:
• An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
• 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
• A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• Private healthcare
• Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
• Coaching and training to support your career development
