We’re looking for a Data and Machine Learning Analyst to join our Advanced Analytics & Insights team on a 10-month fixed-term contract in Manchester. In this role, you’ll help us make the most out of our data across Co-op. We’ll look to you to use advanced analytical techniques to support projects and help colleagues put data at the heart of their decision-making.

What you’ll do

• Deliver end-to-end analytics projects using advanced techniques and data from multiple sources
• Collaborate with colleagues across Co-op to spot opportunities for data-driven decision-making
• Build a deep understanding of how your work connects to wider business goals
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Support the development and deployment of statistical machine learning models to inform strategy

What you’ll bring

• Experience in data analytics and strong data modelling skills
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python or similar tools
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• A strong numeracy background (e.g., maths, statistics, or equivalent)
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to make data accessible and engaging
