Home / field-based role covering the South of England, with travel around your region once/twice a week
We’re looking for a Retail Risk and Compliance Lead to help us support the development and enhancement of our Co-op colleague safety policies, processes, and procedures.

In this role, it’ll be up to you to support a wide range of internal and external activity in the colleague safety space, such as policing, partnerships, campaigning, and store safety. What you’ll do
• Provide professional or technical advice and guidance to managers across Food, sharing expertise and information to support decision making
• Take shared ownership of our current national police partnership approach, working closely with stores, NRCA (National Retail Crime Alliance) and police to target prolific offenders
• Support engagement with the police to identify further opportunities for police partnerships and collaborative working
• Prioritise and respond to colleague feedback, making sure that any action has the end user in mind
• Develop and maintain collaboration across teams within the Retail business, succeeding together with other teams to deliver our unified purpose
• Support the delivery of the colleague safety strategy to reduce risks for activities within operations, protecting the reputation of the business
• Deliver specialist training to field teams to enable them fully in their roles
• Support regular reporting across the business to demonstrate colleague safety
• Support the businesses’ relationships with key strategic partners
What you’ll bring

• Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and external partners at all levels
• Great communications skills; you’re confident in presenting in front of different audiences
• Great analytical skills, with the ability to use programmes such as Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and draw out insights
• A good understanding of food/retail operations
• Experience working within crime intelligence / policing
