Manchester city centre - in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and occasionally travelling to our Manchester office when required (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
Due to the nature of the role, you’ll be working an on-call rota with colleagues to ensure cover across a variety of time zones.
We’re looking for a Repatriation Adviser to join our repatriation team within Co-op Funeralcare and Life Planning. In this role, we’ll look to you to coordinate and manage the repatriation arrangements for those who have died abroad or in the UK.
Why this role matters
As a Repatriation Adviser you’ll work with international funeral directors, embassies, and other government officials to deliver excellent services to our clients. We’ll look to you to make sure our end-to-end repatriation process is as fast and effective. You’ll also be a key source of knowledge within the operational team, helping your colleagues build understanding of repatriation so we can support people to say their best goodbye. What you’ll do
• Coordinate and manage repatriation arrangements for those who have died abroad or in the UK
• Liaise with government and foreign officials to fulfil repatriation requirements
• Manage client and colleague queries, working to resolve any issues as quickly and effectively as possible
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners to understand current ways of working, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth
• Support the Repatriation Excellence Manager in providing the business with regular repatriation performance updates
• Co-ordinate with our funeral home network to ensure client wishes are met and repatriations are delivered seamlessly
• Coach and mentor colleagues, ensuring they have the knowledge they need to deliver repatriation arrangements
What you’ll bring

• Experience within the funeral profession/repatriation sector or experience of working with embassy's, consulates or working with people overseas
• The ability to prioritise with strong time management skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills with senior internal and external partners
• The ability to deliver high levels of customer service to our clients and act with care, discretion and empathy
• Problem solve across departments and external functions in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to coach and influence teams to deliver the best outputs for our clients and our members
