Promotional Planning Analyst 
Up to £40,800 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A) 
Manchester city centre – hybrid working, in this role you’ll split your time between home working, and coming into the office 2-3 times a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).  

We’re looking for a data savvy Analyst to join us at Co op and help us shape the future of our promotional strategy. In this role, you’ll dive into promotional performance, uncover insights that drive action, and work closely with our Promotions, Trade and Seasonal Planning teams to embed data-driven thinking across the business.

Promotions play a huge part in how customers experience value at Co op. The insight you generate will directly influence how we design, plan and refine our offers, helping us deliver better value, strengthen customer perception and support key business decisions. It’s also a role with fantastic exposure, giving you the chance to regularly engage with senior leaders and shape how we approach promotions at scale.

What you’ll do

• Identify opportunities, using existing and emerging analytical tools, to improve promotional effectiveness, strengthen customer perception, and support our value strategy
• Analyse promotional performance data to uncover actionable insights, sharing them with key partners to inform decision making across the business
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to create effective feedback loops, helping us test, learn, and refine our promotional strategies
• Work with Trade and Promotional Planning teams to weave data driven insights into seasonal promotional packages
• Develop and deliver clear, timely reporting tailored to different colleagues’ needs
• Continuously review and improve reporting processes to make sure they meet our evolving goals.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, and confident working with both data and people. You’ll have:

• Strong skills across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience analysing and modelling data to generate meaningful insights, with proficiency in data analysis tools
• Great communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across multiple teams
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how data can shape key decisions
• A willingness to challenge constructively and escalate early when needed, always in an authentic way.
