Senior Q-Commerce Operations Manager
£55,000 to £65,000 plus great benefits including a company car (Work Level 5)
A full UK driving licence is required for this role
Manchester, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office at least twice a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
We’re looking for a Senior Quick Commerce Operations Manager to join our brand new Quick Commerce Aggregator team.
Our aggregator app makes customers' lives easier by offering them delivery services from local independent retailers. We’re setting up a new team to re-vamp and re-launch the app, and we’ve got some pretty ambitious growth targets to meet over the next few years.
Being part of this new team will feel fast, fun and fluid. We know it’s a cliche, but there really will be no two days the same! Think start-up vibes, but with all the knowledge and resources that come with a 180 year-old organisation.
In return for your energy and ambition, we’ll do right by you by providing life-balance through hybrid and flexible working arrangements, as well as supportive, inclusive leadership and a whole host of opportunities to learn and grow.
What you’ll do
- Coach and lead a team to expand our aggregator service to new locations to grow our Quick Commerce strategy
- Be proactive in identifying opportunities to grow our aggregator services whilst leading an ongoing network review to ensure we have the right services in the right places for our customers
- Lead on our operations technology roadmap with our third-party providers and internal teams
- Work with our Last Mile team to ensure we have the right delivery strategy, considering cost, catchments and utilisation to support the aggregator network
- Understand customer and retailers demands and make sure we meet this in a profitable and efficient way
- Interpret complex data to support decision making
- Share and articulate proposals to senior leaders to influence and then implement any proposed changes
This role would suit people who have
- Strong experience and understanding on how the quick commerce market operates
- The ability to manage budgets and P&L’s
- The ability to capture and translate data and make it easy to understand for the wider business
- Knowledge and awareness of developments in the tech and digital landscape with the ability to innovate and optimise digital operations
- Good relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively
Why Co-op?
If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services).
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Private healthcare
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream app – giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
