What you’ll do
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across retail to support the delivery of projects and process improvements
- Advise colleagues on the scale and impact of change based on desktop modelling using labour standards
- Develop impact models for change programmes, where multiple changes to working practices are planned so that the true cost of labour is understood
- Contribute ideas and initiatives in support of continuous improvement
- Produce a consolidated impact assessment of the process on store operations
- Model the labour required to perform processes by using industry standard measurement techniques (MOST)
- Test and build new labour standards for processes into Co-op’s workforce management system
This role would suit people who have
- Excellent analytical skills; you’re a logical problem solver and able to analyse data to spot opportunities for improvement
- A background in retail, with a good understanding of store operations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge and guide partners from all levels of the business
- An understanding of labour modelling
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to easily adapt and learn new systems and tools
Why Co-op?

- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream – a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- Grocery Aid – 24/7 access to a range of emotional, financial, and practical support services for you and your family
