Logistics Training Delivery Manager
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Location: Field-based across the UK
Contract: Permanent
We’re looking for a Logistics Training Delivery Manager to shape the future of learning in one of the UK’s most complex logistics networks. You’ll lead the national training agenda across our logistics teams – influencing how thousands of colleagues across our 13 depots learn and develop.
You won’t be delivering training day-to-day. Instead, you’ll be leading and inspiring a team of four regional Training Delivery Leads, making sure we’re always providing our logistics colleagues with high-quality, innovative, and engaging training.
Why this role matters
At Co-op, our depots never stand still, and neither does our learning. From safety and compliance to leadership and behavioural development, the training we provide keeps our colleagues safe, confident, and highly skilled. Put simply, the work we do makes Co-op a place our colleagues can thrive.
What you’ll do
- Own and evolve the national training strategy for logistics at Co-op
- Lead and inspire four Training Delivery Leads across the UK
- Shape leadership, behavioural, and soft skills training for depot colleagues and managers, aligned to our Co-op Ways of Being and future skills needs
- Collaborate with senior leaders in our safety, people, and depot leadership teams to make sure our training is effective and fit for purpose
- Identify and explore opportunities to continuously improve our training content, making sure it is always engaging, relevant, and industry-leading
- Act as the senior owner for training governance, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
What you’ll bring
- A background in logistics or retail, with experience leading training programmes across multiple regions
- Proven leadership and line management skills, with the ability to build high-performing and supportive team environments
- A good understanding of learning methodologies, blended learning, coaching, and facilitation
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and deliver cultural and behavioural change
- A willingness to travel regularly to our depots across the UK
Why Co-op?
Co-op is a place you can thrive. For over 180 years we’ve focused on making things fairer for our member owners and their communities, and as a colleague we promise to do right by you. You’ll get support for your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing, as well as market-leading policies to help you through life’s big moments – from bereavement and pregnancy loss to fertility treatment and menopause.
You’ll also get access to a wide range of benefits including:
- Private healthcare
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
- Wagestream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
- 24/7 colleague support service
- Training and support for your development and career progression
- Cycle-to-work scheme
