Value Strategy Communication and Engagement Lead 

£35,000 to £40,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A) 

Manchester City Centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office at least 3 times a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 

We’re looking for a Value Strategy Communication and Engagement Lead to join our Propositions team here at Co-op. In this brand-new role, you’ll engage our food teams in the principles of our value strategy and the broader proposition strategy.

You’ll be joining our Value Strategy team which is fundamental to everything our Co-op delivers within our customer proposition. It’ll be up to you to work within all areas of our Propositions team and wider internal teams across our Co-op to make sure our value strategy is clear, understood and embedded throughout the business. 

What you’ll do

  • Create an engagement plan across food to ensure consistent clarity of our approach to creating value for customers and members 
  • Support the delivery of the engagement plan with internal teams to make sure they are clear on the role they play in the delivery of value for our customers and members 
  • Communicate key parts of the proposition strategy at key forums
  • Coordinate all proposition communications to ensure consistency 
  • Help protect our value proposition through supporting teams with interpretation of data 
  • Contribute to the delivery of content for the internal communication plan on Value Strategy 
  • Work closely with a variety of internal teams to support in the delivery of our Value Strategy 

This role would suit people who have

  • A background in marketing or creative communication
  • The ability to build and manage successful relationships with internal partners 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage teams and individuals across the business 
  • A desire to broaden their knowledge, understanding and exposure across a wide network
