We’re looking for a senior finance business partner to join us and provide strategic financial support and business partnering to colleagues in Co-op Wholesale’s sales and commercial team, where we support over 4,000 convenience stores across the UK. We’re entering our next exciting phase of growth, and with that, we've got new opportunities emerging across Co-op Wholesale, like this one.
Your role will be crucial in helping us unlock the true value of our data - providing the business with a clearer view of performance and driving our growth every step of the way.
From scenario modelling to crafting business cases that shape key decisions, you’ll also provide valuable advice and recommendations to senior management. What you’ll do
- Work as part of cross-functional project teams to support customer tenders, providing scenario modelling, challenging stakeholders, building credible business cases, supporting initiatives and trials, and measuring / evaluating their outcome
- Work collaboratively with Co-op Wholesale's sales and commercial teams to build long term strategic plans, annual budgets and forecasts
- Review and challenge performance with key stakeholders to drive delivery of targets
- provide data driven financial insights to support the sales and commercial teams in making smarter, profit-maximising decisions
- Effectively utilising management information tools to understand profit drivers of the business and identify opportunities to drive profitable growth
- Present financial analysis and insights to Co-op Wholesale's senior leadership team as well as to colleagues across the sales and commercial functions
- Track commercial risks and opportunities
This role would suit people who have
- Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.)
- Experience in finance business partnering with knowledge of the b2b space
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence key decisions
- Strong analytical skills, with expertise in complex financial modelling and large datasets
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, and commercial acumen
