Supply Chain Regulatory Responsible Person 
£55,000 to £60,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre - in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office circa once a weekas well as monthly travel to our depots(find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced regulatory responsible professional to lead regulatory compliance across our supply chain and collaborate closely with key stakeholders in various functions, primarily focusing on medicine but will broaden out to areas such as tobacco, alcohol and more. In this role, you’ll ensure that Co-op’s Supply Chain operations meet all relevant regulatory requirements for the movement of goods, safeguarding quality standards and supporting seamless, compliant operations from end to end.

What you’ll do

  • Line manage 2 direct reports as well as being the first point of contact for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders focussed on regulations which related to the movement of goods by Co-op. 
  • Co-operate fully with all regulatory authorities to ensure any required activity is completed on time and in full.
  • Ensure that adequate and auditable data and records are maintained for head office functions and that any delegated duties are recorded. 
  • Manage any outsourced activities which relate to the compliance of regulations. 
  • Ensure a regular review of Policies/Process/SOPs and risk assessments are carried out according to a schedule prioritised by risk.
  • Manage deviations or concessions relating to any regulations related to the movement of goods by Co-op.
  • Development, implementation and continuously improve regulatory training across the Co-op, for any regulations related to the movement of goods by Co-op

This role would suit people who have

  • At least 1 year’s practical experience of procuring, holding, supplying or exporting regulated medicine.
  • At least 1 year’s experience in maintaining a quality management system appropriate to medicine regulations.
  • Expertise in qualifying suppliers, identifying medicinal products, and implementing proper storage and temperature control solutions. 
  • Skilled in qualifying customers and overseeing the safe transportation of medicinal products.
  • Confidence in stakeholder engagement and raising queries when necessary
