Own Brand Strategic Growth Manager
£38,000 to £45,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)

We’re looking for a Strategic Growth Manager to join our Own Brand Strategic Growth team. You’ll join a team that are champions of Own Brand, full of ideas and most importantly, passionate about food. We’ll look to you to take ownership of your categories and play a key role in ensuring that Own Brand participation targets are met and growth opportunities through Own Brand are identified.
You’ll also support the day-to-day delivery of our strategy, working collaboratively across a variety of internal teams to bring ideas to life and make a real impact. This is a great opportunity to shape the future of Co-op’s Own Brand offering and help us deliver excellence that our customers and member-owners expect.
What you’ll do
• Be responsible for delivering growth by driving volume through Own Brand sales
• Identify and source new opportunities in categories where leveraging own brand is beneficial for our customers and members but also financially viable
• Collaborate across multiple departments to deliver strategic goals
• Act as an Own Brand champion by being the voice of our customers and a keen observer of market trends
• Use data and insight to guide decisions, support negotiations and tell a meaningful story
• Negotiate confidently with the wider business
This role would suit people who have
• Proven experience in a commercial, category or brand-focused role
• Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and tell a compelling story with data
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire partners and colleagues at all levels
• Great negotiation skills and a proactive mindset, you’ll spot and pursue opportunities and be comfortable dealing with any challenges
