National Account Manager
£60,000 - £70,000 plus great benefits including company car (Work Level 5)
Home-based, with weekly travel to either our Manchester or Scunthorpe office, and you'll need flexibility to frequently travel nationally
We’re looking for a National Account Manager to join Co-op Wholesale, where we support over 4,000 convenience stores across the UK. We’re entering our next exciting phase of growth, and with that, we've got new opportunities emerging across Co-op Wholesale, like this one.
In this role, you’ll be accountable for the day-to-day management and operations of our high-priority accounts. It’s a high-profile role where you’ll own sales, operations and key stakeholder management within the account, as well as providing customers with great quality products. It’s a position requiring high levels of professionalism, and if you can bring the skills and experience that we’re looking for, you’ll have the chance to make a big impact.

What you’ll do
- Provide high quality support and partnership to counterparts within our customers, building meaningful relationships across a variety of role types
- Own the operational and brand standards for the account
- Provide and understand insight into account performance, driving activity and actions to increase performance
- Plan and prioritise account management activity in line with the partner engagement strategy
- Manage any partner issues, complaints, and escalations through to resolution via the Sales partner feedback loop
- Identify growth opportunities by collaborating with key partners and driving initiatives to ensure their successful implementation
This role would suit people who have
- Experience of driving sales and managing large corporate clients
- The ability to develop and continually improve capability in the team, striving for best in class service
- Experience of sales and strategy development
- Good knowledge of the wholesale/retail industry, product categories and market dynamics
- Confidence in communicating and presenting to partners and colleagues at all levels
- The ability to understand growth in a challenging market
