Membership Operations Advisor 

£35,000 to £38,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A) 

Manchester City Centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 

We’re looking for a Membership Operations Advisor to join our Co-op. In this role, you’ll provide the membership operational and commercial support required to deliver our membership proposition. We’ll look to you to make sure that our membership proposition is delivered within the legal requirements for Co-op membership, share register and the commitments made to the Independent Societies. Membership is the heart of our Co-op and it’ll be up to you to oversee our active member data and using your skills you’ll make sure we are always adding economic benefits and rewards to our members. 

What you’ll do

  • Support delivery of member operations and the key processes and systems required to deliver member outcomes within and outside our Co-op 
  • Provide data and support to Secretariat to make sure we are meeting our commitments when looking at Member voting eligibility and associated rights
  • Support the appropriate maintenance of our share register
  • Make sure we deliver reporting of associated data to track operational membership requirements 
  • Use membership legacy systems to provide required data in timely manner
  • Work closely with risk, technology and data teams to flag any unusual or concerning activity or trends in the member data 
  • Look for opportunities to continuously improve the way we work and the systems we use 
  • Support the operational set up and delivery of Member Offers activity

This role would suit people who have

  • Good data analysis and coding skills  
  • The ability to complete basic queries using SQL
  • Experience of working on a Customer Relationship Management system and the ability to interrogate data
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
