We’re looking for a Financial Planning Manager to join our Funeralcare finance team and help drive our pre-need business forward. You’ll work closely with senior finance leaders and commercial teams, ensuring strategies, risks, and opportunities are reflected in our future plans. We’re in the middle of transforming how we do business, and your role will be crucial in making it a success—benefiting our members, customers, and colleagues.
In this role, you’ll analyse performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning. You’ll help us adapt to industry changes and ensure we have the right products for our customers. Strong people skills and financial know-how are essential, and in return, we’ll offer you the chance to build a career in a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.
What you’ll do
- Present accurate and meaningful insights into the data, telling the performance story and informing our strategic decision-making
- Engage with senior teams across the business to make sure any financial impacts, risks, and opportunities are understood and reflected in the budget and forecast
- Collaborate with our commercial teams, enabling them to understand industry landscape and making sure our strategy is up to date and reactive to change
- Deliver periodic latest views, together with more formal budgets and forecasts, as well as co-ordination of the multi-year plan, making sure that the correct assumptions accurately reflect how we expect to outturn
- Produce clear planning and reporting communication packs for a range of audiences up to senior level
- Have a focus on continuous improvement and drive innovation in processes and outputs
This role would suit people who have
- Accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.) and experience as a finance manager, focusing on planning, analysis, and reporting
- Proven track record in managing budgets, forecasting, and handling large data sets
- Strong communication skills, able to present and influence both financial and non-financial audiences, including senior leaders
- In-depth knowledge of finance systems and processes, including general ledger and BI tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, with experience leading key projects and collaborating in team settings
