Competitor Intelligence Analyst
£32,000 to £40,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)  
Manchester city centre, hybrid

We’re looking for a Competitor Intelligence Analyst to join our property team here at Co-op. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

We’ll look to you to provide analysis and insight on competitor activity to support key investment decisions. You’ll source, process, analyse and report on competitor property activity and new housing, to inform and enhance the strategic decision-making process across the business. What you’ll do

  • Keep the pipeline, trading competitor and new housing databases up to date from a variety of sources
  • Provide an accurate read of our key competitors estates and the housing development landscape 
  • Provide regular reports on new housing and competitor property activity
  • Continuously innovate how we collate and report on our data
  • Provide ad hoc competitor intelligence analysis to support the wider business 
  • Understand changes in the planning environment and how this impacts us and our competitors

This role would suit people who have

  • Great planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
  • A good understanding of the grocery and/or funeralcare markets 
  • An understanding of planning policy and process
  • Strong IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Excel 
  • Good numeracy, analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data
