We’re on the lookout for a Channel Manager who can help us shape how we talk to our colleagues across Co-op. If you’re into smart, effective communication and know your way around the tech that makes it happen, this could be a brilliant opportunity to make a real difference.
Why this role matters

Good communication helps people feel connected, supported, and in the know—and that’s exactly what this role is all about. You’ll lead the strategy behind our colleague communication channels, making sure we’re using the right tools in the right way. From spotting new trends to improving how we work day-to-day, you’ll help us get messages out clearly and consistently, so our colleagues always feel informed and included.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support a team of around six colleagues
• Own and shape our colleague communications channel strategy
• Be the go-to expert for all things channels—offering advice, coaching and support
• Create and improve processes, including stakeholder self-service and Power Automate flows with support from our Power Platform engineers
• Run regular audits and keep an eye on performance through MI and reporting
• Share insights with the team and stakeholders to help us keep improving
• Lead channel reviews and make changes based on what the data’s telling us
• Manage supplier relationships and take ownership of key tools like our email system and M365 suite
• Look after the channel improvement budget and make sure we’ve got solid continuity plans in place
• Support your team’s development, set direction, and be there when they need you
• Be flexible and ready to be on hand if there’s an emergency comms need

What you’ll bring

• Experience in channel management, with the ability to use programmes in Microsoft 365
• Confidence working with data and turning it into useful insights
• The ability to juggle priorities and manage resources across a busy team
• Experience handling confidential data with care
• Great communication skills and the ability to influence and advise stakeholders, and make decisions
• Experience working with suppliers and understanding what the business needs
• A curious, proactive mindset and a passion for making things better
• Know-how in designing and improving processes

Why Co-op?

• 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
• A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• Private healthcare
• Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
