Cash Analyst - Funeralcare 

£27,000 to £33,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B) 

Manchester City Centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office once a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 

We’re looking for a Cash Analyst to join the Cash and Banking team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.

In this role, you’ll control and reconcile the bank reconciliations for our Funeralcare business. We’ll look to you to resolve complex issues and support an improved reconciliation process. What you’ll do

  • Be an expert in the reconciliation of complex balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Be an expert in complex bank reconciliations 
  • Develop reports for internal customers to resolve reconciliation queries 
  • Support team development by helping our advisors with complex queries and producing training guides 
  • Guide the Funeralcare Finance administration team and other internal teams to help clear outstanding reconciliation entries 
  • Work on business change programmes providing your specialist knowledge to support system roll outs 
  • Find and implement ways to continuously improve processes within our team 

This role would suit people who have

  • An AAT qualification, working towards one or have relevant accounting experience 
  • The ability to deal with a large volume of transactions 
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage partners clearly 
  • A strong attention to detail
