Customer Service Support Assistant – 8am-4pm
£12.45 hourly rate (plus additional £1.87/hr back shift allowance for working after 2pm) plus £1.87/hr weekend shift allowance

We’re looking for a customer service support assistant to join our depot in Birtley.

In this role you’ll help our retail stores resolve queries about deliveries - administering and recording the claims accurately on the system. We’ll look for you to liaise with store colleagues to update them on any issues with deliveries and other factors that could affect stock from getting to store on time, securely and safely. We’ll also look for you to help out on reception, meeting and greeting visitors and giving all external visitors a warm welcome. 

What you’ll do:

  • receive information relating to claims and other issues preventing store deliveries from stores
  • administer the claims, processing and accurately record data
  • liaise with internal operational teams regarding the investigation and outcome of claims
  • support special store activities i.e. refits, schedule changes to make sure the expectations of stores are met or exceeded
  • escalate issues and queries to the customer service manager
  • manage and organise meetings, including room booking and diarising invites
  • meet and greet visitors to the depot, provide swipe card access, directions and health and safety information
  • support site leadership team with admin activity

This role would suit someone who has

  • customer service experience
  • experience handling diaries and organising meetings 
  • excellent organisation skills 
  • great communication skills and able to communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • the ability to prioritise workload and able to use your own initiative
  • great attention to detail, accuracy and a natural curiosity following policies & processes
  • a confident and outgoing approach
  • a great team player but also happy to work on their own
  • experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
