Senior Quality Manager 

£60,000 to £66,000 plus great benefits including private healthcare and company car (Work Level 5) 

Manchester City Centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home, the office and visiting our suppliers, depots and stores (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Manager to join our Own-Brand Team here at Co-op. In this role you’ll own and lead the end-to-end quality process for Co-op brand products and be responsible for using data and insight to optimise activity to help drive strategic goals of the team. We’ll look to you to make sure our Own Brand Products are great quality, making sure we test against the market and that standards are agreed and captured with our suppliers. You’ll build strong relationships with our external suppliers making sure that we are hitting the right quality standards are delivered for our customers and member-owners. 

What you’ll do

  • Be accountable for the end-to-end quality process for our own brand products from inception to the product being in our stores 
  • Make sure our Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS) is fit for purpose and monitor the compliance of them across Co-op Own Brand 
  • Collaborate with our Suppliers to make sure there is an understanding of quality, customer, and commercial metrics 
  • Build strong relationships with a range of internal teams, including Own Brand, Insight, Product Development and, Technical as well as external suppliers and service providers 
  • Use data and insight to build the foundation of Co-op Own brand quality to drive towards our team targets and goals 
  • Gather information about how our products are performing and monitor complaints data to help support decisions about Own Brand products

  • Experience leading a team of any size in a fast paced and collaborative environment

  • Experience managing both internal and external partners and creating successful relationships
