Senior Credit Controller - Accounts Receivable
£25,000 - £30,000 plus benefits (Work Level 6C)
Manchester city centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office at least twice a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 

We’re looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join the Record to Report team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.

You’ll be joining a team that plays a key role in driving the commercial performance of our business, making sure we’re paid on time for the products and services we provide. We’ll look to you to manage a debt ledger, chasing money and documenting all correspondence accurately. What you’ll do

  • Complete daily credit management ensuring targets, deadlines and objectives are met
  • Manage risk by regular/daily phone contact with customers and our Commercial team
  • Regularly update the Credit Manager, making them aware of areas of concern 
  • Build strong internal relationships and help to develop and maintain a high-performance team ethos through training and mentoring
  • Carry out Monthly Working Capital Reporting and query resolution
  • Work on Cash Flow and Direct Debit Forecasting

This role would suit people who have 

  • Working knowledge of ERP(SAP), 365 Office
  • Strong credit control experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving with the ability to work using their own initiative
  • A drive for continuous development improvement in self and others
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, look ups and basic formulas)
