Retail Risk and Compliance Analyst
£37,000 to £45,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)

We’re looking for a Retail Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our Risk Health and Safety team. You’ll focus on process optimisation and reviewing our data to make sure we are compliant and trading legally and safely. We'll look to you to analyse data, identify trends and issues relating to health and safety compliance and potentially fraudulent transactional activity and develop data solutions that alert the business to fraud and health and safety risks.
You’ll be working with the development of new automation and processes whilst using the latest Microsoft Power platforms. You’ll have a great opportunity for career development and the chance to make a huge impact leading the Co-op with integrating AI, reducing business loss, and making stores safer for our colleagues and customers.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for compliance reporting to make sure stores are operating safely and legally
- Manage the continued development of PowerBI applications
- Proactively look into automation and streamlining of processes
- Embrace latest business tools and new technology, including Power Automate and Power Apps
- Analyse all transactional data, looking at what’s outside the norm and identifying trends and investigating suspicious transactions, collating information together to build a case
- Look at the data to identify opportunities to improve processes or spot training needs
- Complete weekly and period reporting, showing trends and highlighting opportunities for improvement
- Manage cases end-to-end, monitoring an inbox and responding to queries
This role would suit people who have
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Platform, with the ability to confidently manipulate data, use basic formulas and functions and produce reports
- Experience working with large sets of data, able to analyse and tell the story behind it
- An inquisitive mind-set, with the ability to spot trends and find solutions
- The ability to use data to tell a compelling story for other areas of the business
- Great communication skills, with a talent for building strong relationships with partners across the business
