Secondment/FTC until April 2026
Manchester City Centre (hybrid working)
We’re looking for a Retail Analytics Manager to join us on a 12-month secondment in Manchester to help unlock the potential of our data and enable colleagues to make more data-driven decisions. You’ll be working as part of our Analytics & Insight team, supporting our business areas to use their data to build more value for our colleagues, customers, and member-owners. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As a Retail Analytics Manager at Co-op, we’ll look to you to manage advanced analytics projects and provide meaningful insights to colleagues and teams across the business. You’ll use a wide range of analytics techniques, work closely with colleagues and manage projects end-to-end. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and develop your skills; making a positive impact as we work to put data at the heart of everything we do at Co-op.
What you’ll do
- Partner with our business areas to build and deliver a joined-up analytics and insight roadmap
- Manage and be responsible for the design and delivery of complex end-to-end analytics projects
- Engage and build meaningful relationships with key partners across the business, and identify opportunities where analytics can make a real impact
- Use a wide variety of advanced analytics techniques using data from various sources
- Understand how each project interacts with the wider business and engage with the relevant partners across Co-op to gain their input and share your findings
- Provide valuable and insight-driven recommendations to colleagues across the business
- Line manage and support the development of the members of your team
- Be a key senior figure in the analytics community; collaborating with our wider data teams to share knowledge and develop best practice
This role would suit people who have
- A background in data analytics, with experience of scoping and implementing analytical solutions (i.e. segmentation, clustering, regression modelling etc)
- Experience in retail and/or ecommerce analytics, and member/customer behaviour analytics
- Good coaching skills, with experience mentoring and supporting the development of others
- Experience writing and developing code using SQL, Python or equivalent
- Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present complex data in a compelling and accessible way
We know that some people are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t meet all the criteria in the job description. At Co-op, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive working environment, so if you'd like to apply for this role but your experience doesn't quite meet every point, we'd still encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for the job or other roles we have available.

- Private healthcare
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
