Pricing Manager - Funeralcare
£57,247 to £65,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)

We’re looking for a Pricing Manager to join our Commercial team at Co-op Funeralcare, to lead the way in creating fairer, more transparent, and more competitive pricing for our business. At Co-op Funeralcare we provide invaluable help to bereaved people as well as offer support for those looking to plan their funeral in advance. As the leading provider of funerals and pre-paid plans in the UK there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.
In this role, you’ll work across both our funeral business and our pre-paid funeral plan business to make sure we have the right pricing for our clients and the business, aligning decisions with senior colleagues and members of the Funeralcare Executive team before managing execution. We’ll also look to you to lead us in developing a stronger test and learn culture, making sure we really understand the impact of the changes we make before rolling them out. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your advanced analytical and leadership skills in a varied role that is pivotal to the growth of our business.
What you’ll do
• Maintain existing pricing databases and manage price change activity into our systems and sales channels, overseeing all aspects of pricing activity to meet regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with our Insight, Commercial, Operations and Finance teams to develop strategic initiatives that delivers fairer, more transparent, and more competitive pricing for our clients
• Support our Propositions and Buying teams to land new innovations into the market with prices that enable their success
• Create commercial models to use alongside market trends and client insight to spot new pricing opportunities for our business
• Present your recommendations and findings to the business, aligning with the Funeralcare Exec where necessary
• Lead our journey to develop a stronger test and learn culture by working with trusted external partners so we can understand the true impact of the changes we make
This role would suit people who have
• Previous experience within a pricing, commercial or analytics role
• Experience of leading strategic commercial projects in matrix organisations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the capability to create complex pricing and commercial models
• Great analytical skills with the ability to draw meaningful insights from data and translate them into compelling stories that influence senior leaders
• Excellent relationship building skills and communication skills with the confidence to present up to executive level
• The ability to lead commercial change initiatives
