We’re looking for a project leader to support change within our Co-op Business Services (CBS) division, working closely with operational and support teams to integrate our strategic finance transformation into our service areas.

In this role, you’ll ensure that the day-to-day operational impacts within CBS, by the finance transformation are well understood, planned for and resourced.  Working closely with SMEs and specialists, you’ll be taking care of the scope of change scheduled for CBS to see that the business needs are represented and that the appropriate level of supporting governance is in place, enabling the safe landing of these changes with minimal impacts within the operational areas.

While you’ll be closely involved in the project, your focus will be on providing senior leadership with the right insights, tracking progress, and addressing any risks along the way.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with the Programme Manager and Project Manager to develop and implement effective change management plans
  • Coordinate and track project impact through the change control process, ensuring approvals are in place and providing senior management with key updates and insights as needed
  • Plan and manage resources effectively to support project delivery
  • Ensure change initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards
  • Contribute to programme planning, ensuring that CBS-specific deliverables are properly incorporated
  • Monitor and report on risks, issues, dependencies, benefits, and costs, keeping stakeholders informed of progress
  • Maintain accurate project documentation to support internal planning, audits, and compliance with governance requirements

This role would suit people who have

  • Project management experience with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, including providing high-level oversight for senior leaders and positively influence and challenge when necessary
  • Adaptability across multiple disciplines within a complex environment, supporting large-scale integration and transformational projects
  • Proficiency in project and governance tools, with a focus on driving efficiency and improvement
  • Self-motivation, able to manage workload independently, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
