Estates Manager
Up to £70,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 5)
Hybrid working – with occasional travel across the UK
We’re looking for an Estates Manager to join us and help to make sure we get the best value from our trading and non-trading sites across the UK. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home, the office, and occasionally traveling to our sites nationwide.
As an Estates Manager at Co-op, you’ll take responsibility for all estate management matters across your designated region. We’ll look to you to take the right property actions to protect and improve profitability.
What you’ll do
- Deliver a first-class corporate real estate service across Co-op
- Work with senior leaders across the business to make sure our property strategy is aligned with operational needs
- Co-ordinate and manage lease renewals and rent review processes
- Manage property disposals and handle operational and non-operational property costs (e.g. rent, service charge, insurance)
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues across the business
- Provide strategic and technical input to our asset management, store refit, and new store acquisition programmes
This role would suit people who have
- A RICS surveyor qualification
- Significant experience in a similar role, managing properties across multiple sites
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Great commercial awareness, with the ability to problem-solve
- Good relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge inclusively
