Data Governance Manager
£51,040 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid working)

As a Data Governance Manager at Co-op, we’ll look to you to implement and deliver the data governance strategy and policies across the wider business. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – spending a minimum of one day per week working from the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy)

What you’ll do

  • Help to define and deliver the data governance strategy, policies, and standards across Co-op
  • Collaborate with our Senior Data Governance Manager to define data roadmaps and plans
  • Support our Data Governance Analysts to make sure tasks and projects are delivered successfully
  • Support projects across Co-op to make sure the right data controls are in place
  • Work alongside our data owners to help them define and commit to data availability, security improvements, and ethical standards
  • Provide Data Governance assurance and guidance for technology (including Artificial Intelligence)

This role would suit people who have

  • Previous data governance management experience
  • Experience applying data governance principles and supporting data ownership frameworks
  • Previous experience of writing data governance policies, guidance, standards, and implementation tools
  • Good communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively
