Who we are
The Co-op property team expertly manages over 6,000 buildings across the UK. Our approach is built on functional expertise, a one team ethos and cross-functional teams working together.
We’re passionate about providing great new spaces, sustainable refits, clear and affordable property strategies and high performing assets. All while staying focused on health and safety as our number one priority.
We regularly recruit new colleagues to join our teams in facilities management, estate management, construction and projects, and strategy and insight.
What we do
The property team is a centre of excellence for property management. We work across all Co-op businesses, and we’re responsible for buying, selling and looking after the buildings we own. We find the right places to open new food stores, depots and funeral homes. And we make sure all Co-op properties are safe, well maintained and energy efficient.
We have an important role to play in driving the growth and commercial performance of our Co-op. With more customers choosing Co-op every day, we’re always looking for opportunities to open sites in new locations, at the heart of communities across the UK.
Who we look for
In all our property teams we look for people who are highly motivated; capable of working independently and managing their own workload. Property colleagues are also naturally collaborative – focused on working together to make a difference in communities.
We regularly recruit across a wide range of jobs – from construction project managers and quantity surveyors, to FM professionals, estate managers and analysts.
As well as the many skillsets needed to fulfil these roles, we also need to bring in people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives in order to achieve our goals. We’re committed to building an inclusive property team, and we recognise the need for our teams to reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.
