Member Activator – Oxfordshire & Reading 
£31,005 [pro rata for part time] plus excellent benefits (Work level 6B)
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week or Part Time: 18.75  hours per week available.  Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Field and home based in  Oxfordshire and Reading.  You’ll need to live in or very close to this area to be eligible to apply

As a Member Activator, you’ll play a key part in helping our member-owners connect with Co-op locally, through the design and delivery of activities and engagement opportunities which brings to life all aspects of our membership value proposition. We'll look to you to bring people together, connecting with Co-op members, colleagues, and likeminded organisations to promote our values and vision. What you’ll do   


•    Grow your network of Co-op members, colleagues and community partners to form local forums, supported by a local digital network, to connect our member-owners to activity in their area
•    Develop a local community and member participation plan annually which will focus on delivering value to members in your area, and bring the plan to life through member engagement opportunities 
•    Connect with local causes and community partners that are important to our members and demonstrate the benefits of our support 
•    Encourage members to engage as owners through the democratic process, connecting with Members’ Council representatives and assisting them to engage with members in their constituency .
•    Provide opportunities for members to learn more about their Co-op and our vision, promoting our campaigns and sustainability agenda 
•    Drive a One Co-op approach locally, connecting with Food, Funeralcare and other businesses to develop joint initiatives, and build positive relationships with Independent Co-operative Societies 
•    Report on activity and provide case studies to demonstrate the importance and impact of our work


This role would suit people who have


•    A good understanding of and belief in our Co-op values and difference
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and bring together a wide range of people in an inclusive way
•    The ability to work remotely as well as part of a team, managing your own time and activities effectively 
•    Good basic IT skills within the Microsoft Office suite, and confidence in using social media
•    The ability to create and deliver engagement and activity plans 
•    A full UK drivers license and the flexibility to travel within the defined geographical area detailed above
