9-month secondment / fixed-term contract
We’re looking for a Learning Content Designer to join our Talent Development team here at Co-op. In this role, we’ll look to you to support with the creation and maintenance of digital learning solutions for colleagues across our Co-op. You’ll work alongside experienced designers, learning valuable technical skills as you go.
You don’t need to be a technical expert to succeed in this role – what we really need is someone with creative flair, the ability to tell a story, and a passion for learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact to colleagues across the whole of our Co-op.
What you’ll do
• Work alongside experienced team members to understand the learning design process
• Learn how to create story boards and layout content using instructional design programmes
• Update and maintain existing learning content in line with any changes
• Attend briefs with the Learning Design Studio Manager and Learning Content Design Leads to gain an in-depth understanding of the courses that are being created
• Work collaboratively with the wider design team, subject matter experts and partners to gain knowledge, share ideas and give feedback
• As your confidence grows, own the end to end design of informative and innovative content for the delivery of digital learning
• Gain an understanding of the importance of user experience and accessibility, putting yourself in the shoes of the end-user and analysing user feedback to assess the success of learning courses
This role will suit people who have
• Some previous experience of instructional design
• Good general IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly - you enjoy learning and using new software
• Natural creativity and an aptitude for innovative design
• The mindset to put the learner at the forefront of your work
• The ability to collaborate with your teammates and share ideas
