Head of Marketing Planning
Circa £90,000 - £100,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 4) 
Manchester City Centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office, with at least once a week in the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).  

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing Planning to join Co-op’s Membership & Customer team. In this new role, it’ll be your job to lead and shape marketing planning across the whole of our Co-op. You’ll be joining at an exciting time following the re-introduction of Co-op to the nation through a bold new campaign.

We’ll look to you to direct our pan Co-op integrated business planning process, specific to customer, marketing and membership. It’s all about having better transparency and a dedicated focus on workflow, capacity, and prioritisation, so that our marketing teams can work harmoniously, and get the best results in order to grow our membership and businesses over years to come.

You’ll work in collaboration with a range of teams and partners, presenting you with a great opportunity to make a real visible impact at our Co-op, whilst taking people with you on the journey.

What you’ll do

• Act as a key part of our Membership & Customer leadership team, taking responsibility for our pan-Co-op marketing planning
• Oversee capacity and workflow planning across marketing teams, helping to address any blockers and increase productivity 
• Proactively assess how changes in the business will affect planning, resource, and commercials
• Work alongside the wider leadership team to establish key frameworks and principles 
• Be a subject matter expert in a range of weekly and monthly meetings, and planning forums with key stakeholders

This role would suit people who have

• Experience of working within a complex matrix organisation, with an understanding of / experience in the retail business 
• A strong understanding of marketing, with a commercial or analytical background
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work well with a wide range of teams and partners influence others
• Tenacity and the confidence to push back and speak out when necessary 
• Great communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
