Finance Business Partner – Logistics (10-11 months secondment/fixed-term contract - parental cover)
Circa £65,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Remote/hybrid (based in United Kingdom) with approximately one day per week travelling to our depots across the UK (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy)
We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team on a 10-11 month fixed-term contract to support the commercial business partnering activity for our Logistics depots. You’ll work closely with our logistics leadership team to provide financial insights that support their decision-making.
We’ll look to you to build a clear understanding of our logistics teams and their needs, as well as identifying and exploring continuous improvement opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Partner with our logistics operational teams, central teams, and depots to set finance targets for their areas and identify potential improvement opportunities
- Develop financial plans, ensuring robust financial control
- Share clear and effective financial insights with senior leaders to help inform their decision-making
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis support
- Work on cross-finance projects to deliver improvements to control, reporting, and insights
This role would suit people who have
- A finance qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc) or relevant experience
- Experience supporting business transformations within a complex environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate complex insights in a clear and accessible way
- Good relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively
