Data Scientist/ Analyst
£30,000 - £40,000 plus excellent benefits (Grade E)

Data sits right at the heart of our Co-op. The wide range of services we offer provides us with lots of information about our members’ and customers’ behaviour. Right now we’re looking for a range of people to join our growing data science & analytics team, to help us develop insights from that data so we can achieve better outcomes for our members, customers and colleagues. As part of our team you will:
·tackle a range of data-driven and analytical problems
·work collaboratively with a range of Co-op colleagues
·bring together data from different sources, interrogate and model to unlock valuable insights
·design solutions that create outputs which can be presented to a variety of audiences
·help to continually improve the valuable service the team provides to the Co-op
This role would suit people from either a data science or analytics background who have:
·experience deploying a variety of analytical techniques for example; machine learning, R, Python, statistical modelling
·good commercial awareness, ideally from having worked in a corporate environment previously
·evidence of coding work, e.g. SQL, SAS, Python
·a passion and natural flare for analytics and problem solving
·a natural ability to translate information for a variety of audiences to make use of
