Manchester city centre – we’re now working in a hybrid way with colleagues splitting their time between home and the office

We’re looking for a Consents Manager to join our property team.

In this role, you’ll primarily support the delivery of our refit projects in our food stores and funeral homes by making sure we have the necessary landlords’ and neighbours’ consent in place. We’ll look to you to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners on anything from asset renewal works to licenses, terms and conditions and associated costs. You’ll produce weekly reports to track progress and make sure the relevant teams are aware of any requirements to minimise risk to the business. It’s a big job, but one in which you’ll gain excellent exposure across the business and the chance to build a rewarding career with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

What you’ll do

•    Review the terms of the lease on a property and identify whether landlords or neighbours consent is required
•    If consent is required, pull together request packs and write to the landlords to get their consent, chasing up on this where required
•    Assisting the construction team in establishing repair responsibilities and in obtaining any required Landlords and neighbours consent for planned and unplanned asset renewal works
•    Work with the in-house legal team to support with licenses and renegotiation of terms and work with the finance team on the associated costs
•    Work from a tracker and produce weekly reports to minimise risk

This role would suit people who have

•    An understanding of property leases 
•    Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities 
•    Excellent relationship building skills with a variety of internal and external partners at all levels
•    Strong attention to detail 
•    Good Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to produce reports
