We’re looking for LGV drivers to join our team in Biggleswade.
At Co-op, driving is about more than just getting our products from A to B. You’ll be the face of our logistics operation, interacting with Co-op colleagues and customers every day.
It’s not your usual ‘stuck-in-a-jam’ driving job, and Co-op isn’t a ‘run-of-the-mill’ employer. We’ll give you real work/life balance – your week will be based around 40 hours, worked over 5 days, with the opportunity to work additional hours to top up your pay packet.
You’ll have a rota, so that you know when you’re working well ahead of time. And at the end of your shift you’ll always get to go home (no tramping here!).
Your working week will be varied – delivering to our stores and depots across the East of England and the Home Counties. You’ll help us to serve communities in both urban and rural areas.
What you’ll do
• provide an efficient and supportive delivery service to our stores
• deliver caged stock to stores or other depots in a safe, professional, and cost-effective way
• drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct Co-op procedures
• positively represent Co-op on the road, treating other road users and pedestrians with respect
• support our shunting operations, moving both rigids and trailers around the yard – training will be provided
This role would suit people who have
• a C+E category (Class 1) LGV drivers’ licence
• previous experience as an LGV/HGV driver
• the ability to work positively with Co-op customers and colleagues
• great organisation and time management skills

Your decision If you’re successful at your interview, you’ll receive a phone call from the hiring manager you met to talk about your job offer. If you accept, we’ll then send your offer online via an email. Before anything can be processed, we'll need you to accept this offer online. This will start your journey into our Co-op.
