Recruitment update

Co-op is committed to supporting communities during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Over the last few months, we’ve recruited thousands of new temporary colleagues in our food stores, logistics depots and funeral homes – all of them local heroes who are helping to keep the country running during this difficult time.

You can apply for permanent jobs and sign up for job alerts on this site, but we’re not currently looking for new temporary colleagues. If you’re looking for a short-term role, please add our careers site to your favourites as we’ll update this website if we need more temps in the future.

Looking after our colleagues

If we invite you to an interview, rest assured we’re advising all our hiring managers on best practice to keep you safe during the assessment process. Wherever possible we’re offering remote working, so you may have an interview via video rather than meeting one of our colleagues in-person.

In our offices, we’ve worked closely with our facilities team to transform our estate into future focused work spaces; with socially distanced workstations, intensive cleaning programmes and revised building access.

In our food stores, we’ve invested over £3m in new protective equipment and continue to limit the number of people in our stores.
