Co-op Undergraduate Placements – Digital Technology & Data

We’re looking for ambitious undergraduates to join us at Co-op on a 12-month placement. If you’re a great team player who’s keen to build the skills and experience you need to kick-start your career, we can offer you the chance to do just that with a business that always puts people at the heart of its strategy.

We offer a range of placements across different areas within our Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) teams. Whether it’s through the systems that connect our colleagues, the insights that underpin our strategy, or the platforms where we engage with our customers and members – these teams play an important role in delivering our vision of ‘co-operating for a fairer world’.

What we offer

As a Co-op colleague, you’ll do work that matters in an organisation where principles are just as important as profits. You’ll also get a package that includes:

  • A competitive salary of £21,255
  • 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • 30% off Co-op branded products, and 10% off other brands in our food stores
  • Networking opportunities with key partners and industry leaders
  • Coaching, training, and support to develop your skills

Our Placements

  • Undergraduate Architecture Analyst – Help to inform the development of our IT strategy, and work closely with our senior architect colleagues to create solution architectures that help to deliver our wider business strategies
  • Undergraduate Cyber Security Analyst – Support our colleagues with information security-related incident prevention, investigation, and resolution activities across Co-op
  • Undergraduate Insight & Research Analyst – Support the delivery of research projects using qualitative and quantitative research techniques. We’ll look to you to help us collect insights and build an understanding of what our customers and members think, feel, and do
  • Undergraduate Colleague Engagement Co-ordinator – Help to make a real difference to colleague engagement and wellbeing across DT&D – proactively working with colleagues to understand their needs. You’ll support the team with the planning and delivery of activities designed to meet these needs
  • Undergraduate Technology Delivery Associate - Support your colleagues with delivering change across our technology platforms, products, and services – from design to implementation. It’s an exciting time at Co-op when it comes to technology, as we work to be more product-led and built on solid platform technology – and you’ll be a key part of this
